We have had a number of volunteers approach us, wondering how they could help. We welcome everyone, who can, to volunteer to make a positive difference.

Together we will transform lives.

Fundraising ideas

To help you hear a few ideas, however, you would have many more that are more suitable to your environment and circumstances.

  • Telethon
  • Walk-in Honour
  • Get artwork from local artists and donate money in exchange
  • Coffee for a Cause – put your coffee machine to good use, every dollar helps others
  • Morning Tea Fundraiser – talk about what we do to friend, neighbours or family or over a morning tea at your work and collect donations
  • BBQ Fundraiser – talk to your friends about our work over a BBQ with neighbours, family and friends and collect donations
  • Charity Dinner – sell tickets to your event
  • Charity Fun Run
  • Charity Bike Ride
  • Donate through your business
  • Get your school, club or workplace to donate
  • At school, host an inter-school sports competition
  • Promote us on social media encouraging everyone you know to host their own fundraiser and to come to yours
  • Get your Club, Church or Connect Groups to host Dinner Parties, inviting friends, family and neighbours and giving them the opportunity to donate
  • Invite a Guest Artist or Celebrity to your fundraising event to support a special cause that is dear to you.
  • Ask your work if they will make a tax-deductible donation as an organisation. Some organisations match funds donated by their staff.

Here are just a few fundraising guidelines:

1. If you would like to create your own media such as flyers, posters, video clips, T-shirts etc. please send the draft through to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (at least a week before it needs to go to print) so we can check that it meets fundraising standards.

2. If you are going to sell anything at your fundraiser, you are responsible for researching and being aware of your state or nation’s fundraising laws & tax requirements. (Rather than selling, you might want to consider the possibility of giving donors a free gift. i.e. donations over $50 to the promoted initiative and receive a free t-shirt.)

3. You will need to state clearly in your advertising and pricing the actual percentage of profit that will be donated to the project/s.

4. All donations received for the initiative will need to be deposited into the appropriate bank account within 7 days. Please also send us an e-mail advising us of how much was raised. We’d love to see photos of the event & hear about how it went.

5. Please call us as we can guide you through this process.
